My top 3 ways of staying on top of my phone

It is truly amazing how far technology has come in the last 10 years. The first iPhone was released just over 10 years ago. I can’t really remember a time before it – I mean can you live without connecting to the internet on your phone! Technology is definitely improving the quality of our lives, but there is a cost. When was the last time you went out for dinner and lunch and did not take your phone out? How long have you gone without your phone? Would your life be ruined if you left your phone at home?...

Advice to millennials: You shouldn’t just follow your passion

The amount of times you hear people say just follow your passion and the money will follow is so cringe! Its lost all meaning. I am going to put my hand up and say I am someone who use to say this often (just have a look at my Instagram @imran_dean). So why did I stop? Every decision you make has a second & third level consequence

Every morning I go to my local coffee shop, well not quite a shop but a stall next to my office for a morning coffee and I am always tempted to buy a cookie or a brownie. You need to create a game plan to achieve it and spend time doing it. Every Sunday I try and review my weekly goals to measure what tasks were completed, half...

Thrive – Arianna Huffington

Thrive: Thrive The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Happier Life Why I bought the book? As you can probably tell by the name of this website and the content, I enjoy reading and writing about self-development. This book clearly fitted by interests. I actually stumbled upon this book by accident on my journey back home from work one day. I was in Waterloo station (a big train station in London, UK) and in book store called Foyles where I stumbled across the book on what the desks of new books at the store. After reading the blurb and the introduction I was quite intrigued by this book written by Arianna Huffington that focused on a third metric of success. She spoke a lot about having a balanced life and sleep, the two things I thought would hinder your success. Review I would give this book four stars as I thought it was so refreshing to see someone talk about success from a different perspective. Also, someone who was speaking from experience (she built the Huffington post) and talked about her own burn out from a lack of sleep. This book was addictive in parts, but I did find some occasional repetition and the book I felt was a bit longer than it needed to be, but brought about points that had not previously been covered. If you...
